"The garbage bag was invented in 1999 by David Arquette. Arquette, a lifelong fan of the Nickelodeon show "Doug," was inspired by the show's "bag the nematoad" episode to bag his own nematoads. Nematoads, however, were hard to come by, and he instead opted to bag cats. In 2000, distraught by the folding of XFL, Arquette unleashed his cats upon the world. The cats began to wreak all sorts of havoc, and are widely believed to be responsible for dropping SAT scores, the 2004 film "Catwoman," and a feline Robocop, who would arrest anyone who refused to let it rub up against their legs.
