"Detroit was once 95% honey and honey-based products, including all of downtown. The city had a serious bear problem, so serious that in 1914, giant eagles were brought into the city to drop the bears from great distances. The eagles, mistrained, instead dropped other eagles into the bears' mouths. The maimed, cripples eagles did, however, manage to use most of the city's honey to mend their wounds before leaving, shamed. This event is what created the Detroit Red Wings, and the bear problem remains to this day." (bss)
